"I am pleased with the Maya wrap thus far. To be fair, I haven't had my baby yet, but I was practicing with one of my cats, and it seems like it will be godsend (I'll have to update when I actually use it on my baby).

I like that it came not only with an instructional DVD, but with an insert that goes over all of the various ways to carry your baby. It was very easy to figure out, and seems like it is comfy (the cat in question weighs 16 pounds and it was much easier to hold her in the wrap than lug her around).

The wrap came pretty quickly and was packaged nicely in a reusable zipper bag, but the one thing I disliked was the overwhelming smell of patchouli! I opened the bag and nearly gagged. Luckily, since I had my cat in there, I was going to wash it anyway (it came pre-laundered in a dermatologist/pediatrician approved soap).

All in all, I am initially very pleased. I have a large bust (F cup pre-pregnancy), so I had to really shop around for something that would be comfy, but, unlike the Moby wrap (which was the most comfortable and supportive of all the slings I tried), wouldn't be oppressive in the heat of West Texas. Since the size runs by height, I will recommend that any large busted women go up a size (my height meant I should get a medium, so I got a large)."

I never leave reviews on products, but upon using the Maya Wrap, I loved it so much I had to share. We have tried several baby carriers. We love the Ergo for long walks and housework, but it's too bulky to travel with. The Moby was way to stretchy and complicated, and the Balboa could have been great, but my daughter kept sinking into the deep pouch. The Maya Wrap is just a great sling. The fabric is breathable, the pouch is adjustable to fit all different sizes of babies,and it's super comfy for both mom and baby. I still love my Ergo for long walks and heavier activity, but my Maya Wrap is spectacular for short trips and leisurely activity. Plus, it folds up small enough to fit nicely into a diaper bag or purse. I absolutely love the comfort and ease of use. I will be buying an few more of these for myself and friends!!!

"This product is amazing! I traveled for a month this past summer with my 9 month old son and had no room in my suitcase for a regular booster seat. When I found the Snazzy Baby it was advertised as "the highchair that fits in a diaper bag," and that is exactly what it is! I have used it on nearly every kind of chair from high bar stools, to dining chairs, to arm charms. Honestly, I have yet to find a chair it doesn't fit. In the case of hard back chairs I simply put a pillow between the chair and my baby and it worked perfectly. My son was comfortable and safely strapped in due to the four-point harness. I thought for sure there would be safety issues with slipping but due to the non-skid bottom it always stayed put! The other great thing is that it is completely machine washable and turns inside-out into its own carrying case so there is no fiddling with a separate bag. My son is now a year old and we still use the Snazzy Baby for travel! Oh...and you can't beat the price!"

This is very useful to carry around. however, if you have an overactive and experimenting child who figures out how to take away the shoulder straps and hang half his/her body out of the chair, you need to be cautious when using it. And it's defly. not meant for leaving the child alone in it.

"Wow, this is a great baby carrier. My 3 month old is 16 lbs. and I can still carry him comfortably in this. I have relatives who have 'the best of everything' who say their baby Bjorn is murdering their backs and shoulders with a much smaller infant. "I absolutely love this carrier! I wish I'd had it when my daughter was a newborn. I have the Scooters print, and it's probably one of the cutest baby carriers out there. More important that that, though, is that it is so comfortable for both me and my daughter (and my husband, who loves it too. Technically, it's his carrier, but I "borrow" it all the time). We use it instead of a stroller, and actually gave our stroller away after getting this. With baby on your back or front, you can go tons of places you'd never be able to with a stroller. Crowded shopping malls, Disneyland, beaches, buses, airports, you name it. We've tried it, and the Beco made it so easy.

It took us a few weeks to get used to the internal harness panel (not to be confused with the infant insert, which is what allows you to wear a smaller baby in an ergonomically correct position) because we'd learned to use an older Beco that didn't have it. However, once you get used to it, the internal harness gives you more options. You can either put the carrier on, and then put baby in, or you can put baby in the carrier and then put them both on. We also really love being able to transfer our daughter from one parent to the other without taking her out of the carrier, which is only possible because of the internal harness. For the reviewer who complained that swinging baby on your back while already in the carrier is not secure, you can put baby in the carrier on your front, and then slide him or her to your back. You don't have to swing baby in the carrier onto your back.

I prefer the Beco to the Ergo because the back is higher. My daughter likes to lean back when she's on my back, and the high back of the Beco keeps her from being able to lean very far, so our center of gravity stays close to my body. With a lower back (the back of the Ergo comes well below her shoulders at 8 months), she can lean very far back, which pulls our center of gravity much farther away from my body, making it much harder for me to keep my balance without leaning forward or hunching.

This product is one of the few baby items that I could not get along without. We have two so we can keep one in the car, and one in the house. I don't have to worry about lugging around a heavy infant carseat, germs in the shopping cart, keeping my daughter from pulling things off the shelves, how to get my chores done with a teething baby, etc. This truly improved my quality of life tremendously."

After watching the instruction video made putting my daughter into the carrier very easy. My daughter (8 weeks old) hated the carrier the first time I put her in it but I think it was because I did not adjust the straps correctly, now she loves it and she falls asleep in it every time. Great purchase, would order it again in a heartbeat!

This is the carrier I've been searching for, literaly for years! I've gone through a few different ones with both my kids, but this is by far my favorite. Easy to use, baby loves it, and it allows me to have both hands free without any worries about my baby's security. I also love that this will grow with my child so I will be able to use it for years to come.
