This is a GREAT RING sling.We are attachment parents, and have carried both of our Daughters. This SnuggyBaby sling is wider than other 100% cotton slings we found on the market.At 29 inches wide, it's about 7 inches wider than any other double layer cotton sling we could find on the market.You can find 40 inch wide cotton slings out there, but single layer not doubled up material, and I can't imagine carrying the love of your life in one single layer of Cotton.

The pleated shoulder allows for long wearing with no discomfort.We have tried other shoulder designs, and they become painful after a short while.My wife has worn her SnuggyBaby for up to 6 hours straight without pain.

The tail is nice and long.It is open, not sewed shut like so many are.This nice wide tail allows it to be used as a nursing cover when out in public.It's great because we saved money not having to buy a nursing cover, nor do I have to carry around more dead weight in the diaper bag.

It is an incredible feeling to be able to ditch the stroller!As a Dad, I am the one that had to fight it out of the car, and mess with all the buttons and such to get it up and usable.Then anywhere you take the stroller it's too wide, or people are blocking your path, or you run into things.I can't tell you how great it is for my wife to throw on her SnuggyBaby sling, I grab a backpack set up as a diaper bag, and we are mobile and ready for any adventure.We do more as a family because it's so easy to get around now.I don't even want to remember the pain and awkwardness of of the car seat baby carrier.What Dad doesn't hate lugging that thing around?

The rails of the sling are an accent color of Cotton, and make it very easy to find the edge for adjustments.It makes the sling STUNNING as well!

So many Ring Slings are ...well...UGLY.They are, you already know they are ugly if you are researching Slings.Plain solid colors, not attractive, well...Ugly.This SnuggyBaby sling is Gorgeous, and my wife wants to wear it.It matches so much of her wardrobe.

There is a learning curve for a ring sling, so the DVD with all the carries that is included was a nice touch.An experienced baby wearer can thread the sling, throw it on, and be on their way in seconds.

All in all, This SnuggyBaby Sling is the best ring sling we could find on the market, my youngest daughter lives in this sling.

It is difficult to get her in all the way, so I don't attempt to anymore. I usually just sit her up, laying against my chest. I still have to use one hand to hold her (unless I'm sitting down). I don't use it that often, like I thought I would. I'd rather just hold her & then lay her down in her crib. Perhaps a bigger size would be helpful; in all I wouldn't spend the money for this sling.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this carrier after registering for and receiving the Parents of Invention Ultimate Baby Mei Tai Black Reversible One-Size-Fits-All for my baby shower.The Mei Tai had received good reviews, and was supposed to fit larger sized people, so we thought it would be good for my husband and I.While it is a good carrier, it is very hard to get my daughter in and out of it alone.This Infantino carrier had gotten great reviews (well deserved), so I decided to give it a try.I am so glad we purchased it!My daughter (11 weeks old) is very comfortable riding in front, facing in and, very recently, facing out.It is easy to adjust to any body, and has a lumbar support which we both find helpful and comfortable.It doesn't become uncomfortable after a long period of time.It fits both my husband and me just fine, and we are both on the larger side.Best yet, it is very easy to drop my daughter in on my own, and to take her out is just as simple.I feel like she is in there securely, and it can easily be adjusted while she is in to make it fit her perfectly.All in all, a great bargain- my only wish is that we had registered for this carrier first!

(More customer reviews)I've been playing with this carrier for about a month now, and I have to say - I'm impressed.I have to confess that my mother is acquainted with the guy who designed this product for Fisher Price, so I had heard about this item and was eager to try it.I have a four month old baby boy.We were given a Baby Bjorn as a shower gift, and I used that for comparison.I also use a New Native baby sling.

First off - it's much easier to put the baby in than the Baby Bjorn.The entire piece that the baby sits in snaps off and is easy to put the baby in - you lay him on it like a diaper and zip up the sides.It's designed so the parent puts their harness on first.You then pick up the baby and snap his harness on to yours.Soooo easy, and much less hassle for the baby.The connection is very secure - it's a five-point system.It takes a bit of practice to master getting the baby out - I prefer to sit down to unhook the harness.It is also just as easy to unzip it and pop the baby out over the top.

The baby can be worn forward or backward.Requires no major adjustment to accomplish this.Good for up to 25 lbs, and a cinch to adjust for length.

The adult harness seems to distribute the baby's weight more evenly across my hips than other carriers and slings.I have more stamina with this carrier than my sling, which my baby loves but I find quite cumbersome.

One feature I love - it has a toy ring attached so you link a toy on it - fantastic so your baby's favorite item doesn't end up in the dirt.

The fabric is ultra-soft and cushiony, like thick foam covered with microfiber.This is especially true around the baby's legs. In fact this item is ideal for people whose babies have chubby thighs - the leg openings are nice and big, with no pinching - yet the baby is still secure.I find that our Baby Bjorn is a bit tight around his legs.Despite the padding, this product has great airflow for the baby and adult, too - we live in Florida.Drool and spit-up seem to just wipe right off the fabric.The shoulder straps are nicely padded.One thing I would mention - the fabric on the inside of the shoulder pads is like a cooling mesh, and can be a bit tough when worn on bare skin (when wearing a tank top etc).I solved this problem by wrapping a bit of soft fabric around the straps where they sat against my neck.It would be nice it this came with something to solve this problem, like adult sized versions of the strap covers on a car seat.But wearing it with a T-shirt should not be a problem.

I have to say - I have comandeered this product for my exclusive use - my hubby wears the Baby Bjorn now!

The quality is good and seems resistant to me but I would have liked more honesty about the features. You can carry the baby just in the front and towards you or facing the world. There are better carriers out there, please check them out before buying this.
The good qualities are: very easy to use, very easy to clean (machine washable) light weight.

It doesn't put too much pressure on your shoulder and allows normal back alignment when carrying a child on your hip.It is also very easy to transport since it rolls up so small.With most other slings, you can't bring them everywhere with you "just in case"because they are too bulky. The only downside is it is not adjustable. My Mom can't wear it when she babysits since she would be a different size. Other than that, they are wonderful products - well put together, soft and sturdy fabric, comfortable for mom and baby, and easy to use (they come with an instructional DVD). I love the reversible feature too!

Safety 1st Space Save Fold-Up Tub (Ages 0M - 6M) Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great idea but with several problems. We bought the tub for our newborn and he loved it. However, now he is 10 weeks old, the tub is too small (our baby isn't very big).

The folding mechanism is problematic on 2 counts:

1. The baby can (and ours did) get fingers and/ or toes caught where the tub folds. This is scary for both the baby and parent and is potentially very dangerous. Thankfully our baby wasn't hurt, just frightened.

2. Because of the way it folds, the tub can hold only a little water without it spilling out all over the floor. I don't mind this too much, but it does make bath time very messy and with a new baby, no-one needs anything extra to clean up.

Because of the safety & size issues, we are searching for another tub and are disappointed that we wasted time and money on this one. Although it saves space, I would in future, buy an inflatable tub (which can also be used as a sled, apparently). PLEASE take extra care with your little one's fingers and toes if you buy this tub, but do think very carefully about other alternatives.

(More customer reviews)This is one of the best things I've bought for my baby!!We have two other slings (the adjustable kind with rings) and a baby bjorn-- none of them hold a candle to the peanut shell.It is the easiest to put on and the most comfortable to wear-- not to mention more fashionable.If my baby is tired and fussy, I pop him in the shell and he goes right to sleep.He also really likes trips to the supermarket because he gets to look at all the goodies at shelf level-- not like being trapped in a car carrier.FYI- because it doesn't adjust one size does not fit all-- my husband's shoulders are too big to wear my peanut shell, so he uses the bjorn.

(More customer reviews)i looked around at reviews before putting this on my registry and i am so glad that i did. this is the easiest way i can think of to bathe a baby, so much better than bulky plastic tubs. you just use it in a low level of water in the family bathtub. the material is breathable and soft, but don't be fooled because it dries out easily and quickly too. it only takes about 15 minutes to go from saturated to completely dry. this product laughs in the face of mildew. i especially like the loop that makes it easy to hang up for drying or out-of-the-way storage. you don't have to sacrifice comfort for function.

if you are looking for possible negative aspects, the pillow floats a bit if you fill the tub very full. it isn't really a problem , but maybe worth mentioning if you fear your baby may float away to the other end of the bathtub. the metal rod on the back has come off, but it is really so simple to reposition that i wouldn't call that a "con" either. it hasn't ever come off when my baby was on it... just when i was prepping the bath area.

Peanut Shell Microfleece Sling - Squirt Review

(More customer reviews)I have two Peanut Shell slings -- one regular cotton and one microfleece. They're beautifully made and seem like a great concept, although my son isn't a huge fan of them. He's big for his age (two months) and complains all the time he's in there, despite being properly adjusted.

One cautionary note about the microfleece sling -- the sizing. According to the Peanut Shell charts I need a Medium sling, and indeed in the *regular cotton* sling, the Medium is a perfect size for me. However, the microfleece sling stretches tremendously once the baby is in it, making the sling *too large*. Suddenly it hangs way down, so that my legs bump it when I walk! Not the intended effect!

So if you're ordering the Peanut Shell in microfleece, I'd suggest choosing one size SMALLER than your recommended size. Otherwise you'll end up, like me, with a sling you can't use...

(More customer reviews)I absolutely LOVE this pack!I've had it for just over a month now, and it gets used every day.Sometimes multiple times during the day.Learning to use it can be a bit complicated, but it's not difficult once you get it down.My 3 month old hates being in his stroller or car seat, so I carry this pack with me everywhere.It's his main mode of transportation when he's not in the car.Originally I was given a Jeep front carrier, but that hurt my back and shoulders.I've had two back surgeries and deal with a lot of back pain already.This carrier has the hip belt, which is a must for me.It's much better on your back and shoulders.Plus, I like the fact there is nothing between me and him.He is securely held in waist belt, and then pressed up against me.Since my son always falls asleep in his carrier (front carry, facing in), it makes it easy to remove the pack after we get home.I can even just lay down on the sofa, unbuckle and slide out everything, and then he can nap right there with me!

He isn't quite big enough for the back carry yet, but I have practiced putting the carrier on that way.It is a little more complicated than some, again, but not hard to figure out.I love the fact that this can be used in so many ways- front facing in, front facing out, hip carry, and back carry.And since it holds a baby up to 40 pounds, there won't be any need for me to look into a new carrier over the years.It is well worth the money.

Jeep 2 in 1 Sport Baby Carrier, Amazon Review

(More customer reviews)This is a badly designed product in my opinion (I am a product designer myself so speak with a certain amount of expertise). The first time I tried to put my 2 1/2 month old baby girl in it, the latch scratched her stomach. Even if I was not totally comfortable doing it - no baby product should ever scratch a child especially when a child has to be moved in and out of it. After several times of her crying at the sight of it (maybe she associated this carrier with the pain of the scratches) I managed to get her in quietly. I went for a 10 min walk and came back with a lower back ache that still lingers after 1 week. My baby was not super comfortable in it either. Her arms are stuck in an awkward position and she seemed really stiff rather than relaxed. My daughter is in the 99th percentile for height and weight and I am a tall and big person myself so both those may factor in to how this fits us. I certainly don't recommend this product at least for big people or big babies.

This bather is small, portable, and super easy to use.After bathing, you can just pop the fabric off and throw it all in the washing machine.Fold up the frame and stick it in the closet.It's so tiny when folded, it's about a 12" x 12" squre.You can fit it anywhere.

(More customer reviews)What would I do without my Hotsling?My 9 week old baby has loved the closeness of being in the sling from the very beginning.When she fusses, this is the only sure way to get her calm and sleeping.With her cuddled up close to me in the sling, I can get work done around the house, go shopping or take a walk.My baby isn't comfortable in the Baby Bjorn yet, so the sling is an absolute lifesaver.

There are a couple drawbacks of this sling:
1. It is not comfortable to wear for long periods of time.After an hour or so, my back is starting to hurt.
2.It is not adjustable, so my husband can't use it, and it was a little tight in the winter when we were wearing big coats and wrapping the baby in blankets.I recommend ordering a size larger than you think you need - I am 5'2"/120 lbs and the size 3 is just right.

Next time, I might try an adjustable sling so that my husband and I can both use it.

ERGO New Infant Insert Review

(More customer reviews)This is the second Ergo infant insert I've bought.I bought this one hoping it would work better than the old infant insert.It doesn't.Basically, if your newborn doesn't like the Ergo carrier, it's likely neither insert is going to help. You should test the Ergo with your newborn before spending the money.

My husband and I loved the idea of the Ergo carrier, as the hip belt helps alleviate back problems and is much like our packs for backpacking, so we registered for one.But however much we like the carrier, my eight-week-old, 10.5 pound daughter hates it. I've been trying to get her into the Ergo using first the old infant insert, and now the Heart 2 Heart, repeatedly ever since she was born, but with no success. The moment I put her (in the insert) into the Ergo carrier, she starts screaming and doesn't stop until I take her out. I've watched the video for the old insert (note: there's no video for the Heart 2 Heart) and am following their technique exactly, but still she just hates the carrier.

Neither insert provides enough head support for my daughter, which is why I think she screams. The Heart 2 Heart in particular doesn't work; when she's settled into it as per the instructions, the insert doesn't come up high enough to support her head, and she's not a particularly long child.So her head flops forward when she tries to look around, which frustrates her.

Both inserts feel like a bit of an afterthought -- I'm not convinced the Ergo carrier was designed with newborns in mind. Having the baby's feet out one side in the old insert seemed like a stopgap solution, and the Heart 2 Heart doesn't quite solve the issue, either.Interestingly, I picked up a used Baby Bjorn as a last resort after having spent all this money on the Ergo and the inserts, and she likes the Bjorn, because it's stiffer and provides more support.I think she won't like the Ergo until her head's a bit steadier; we'll go back to the Ergo then.

So it's worth knowing before buying this insert that it may or may not be money well spent -- it all just depends on whether your child likes it or not, and there's a possibility she won't (as I've now seen multiple reports on various sites saying that their newborns also don't like the Ergo; wish I'd done this research before getting the Ergo and spending the money on the inserts).It's worth waiting until after your baby is born and trying out the infant inserts before buying them.Otherwise, you may want to hold off on the Ergo until 4-5 months.
