It's also a strange shape that doesn't work as well as I imagined it would. The angled bottle pockets won't work well if there are stiff objects inside the bag. You can pull the bottle out one-handed but don't try to put it back in without adjusting the bag contents. My husband uses it without any complaints. We both have received compliments on it. Overall, it's a good quality bag that will last a while and serves its purposes.

It's certainly been the most comfortable carrier for me and my DD. Liked it too that my husb could quickly adjust it to fit himself as well.Yet I found it bulky both to wear under a coat and when just carrying it around (esp traveling). I ended up using the Hotsling when DD was old enough to sit up on my hip (early- like 3months); even got my husb his own.Sling folds up easily into diaper bag; can work under a coat; quick on/off; doesn't emphasize my "mommy-pooch" like the ergo's waist strap does!Now DD is 1yo and I'm back to the ergo for my back's sake.I'm revisiting all the old feelings as well...bulky to carry, hard to wear UNDER a coat, hate the muffin-top the strap creates around my hips and belly.Am finding it difficult to quickly adjust from front/back to side-carry as well.Ah, the sacrifices...

in my diaper bag whenever I need it. It is the easiest carrier to use as it just slips over your head with no straps or buckles. The best part I like
is that the straps are wide enough to distribute the weight (my baby is currently 14 lbs) so that I have no pain in my back or neck when I use it like
I do with my Baby Bjorn. My daughter can face both in and out like the Bjorn. My daughter is very happy in it and I have worn it up to 2 hours
without any backaches! While I also use an Ergo, it is bulky and difficult to pack when I travel - this carrier is permanently in my diaper bag now
since it take hardly any room and isn't heavy. It has been a lifesaver when I am trying to run into a store and don't carry a lot with me, I grab it
out of the diaper bag and put her in it. I have the white special edition pattern and get compliments every time I wear it on the design. I
definitely will recommend this carrier and will be giving one to every new parent as their shower gift from here on out. Great product, wish I knew
about it when I had my first child!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this carrier after registering for and receiving the Parents of Invention Ultimate Baby Mei Tai Black Reversible One-Size-Fits-All for my baby shower.The Mei Tai had received good reviews, and was supposed to fit larger sized people, so we thought it would be good for my husband and I.While it is a good carrier, it is very hard to get my daughter in and out of it alone.This Infantino carrier had gotten great reviews (well deserved), so I decided to give it a try.I am so glad we purchased it!My daughter (11 weeks old) is very comfortable riding in front, facing in and, very recently, facing out.It is easy to adjust to any body, and has a lumbar support which we both find helpful and comfortable.It doesn't become uncomfortable after a long period of time.It fits both my husband and me just fine, and we are both on the larger side.Best yet, it is very easy to drop my daughter in on my own, and to take her out is just as simple.I feel like she is in there securely, and it can easily be adjusted while she is in to make it fit her perfectly.All in all, a great bargain- my only wish is that we had registered for this carrier first!

Safety 1st Space Save Fold-Up Tub (Ages 0M - 6M) Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great idea but with several problems. We bought the tub for our newborn and he loved it. However, now he is 10 weeks old, the tub is too small (our baby isn't very big).

The folding mechanism is problematic on 2 counts:

1. The baby can (and ours did) get fingers and/ or toes caught where the tub folds. This is scary for both the baby and parent and is potentially very dangerous. Thankfully our baby wasn't hurt, just frightened.

2. Because of the way it folds, the tub can hold only a little water without it spilling out all over the floor. I don't mind this too much, but it does make bath time very messy and with a new baby, no-one needs anything extra to clean up.

Because of the safety & size issues, we are searching for another tub and are disappointed that we wasted time and money on this one. Although it saves space, I would in future, buy an inflatable tub (which can also be used as a sled, apparently). PLEASE take extra care with your little one's fingers and toes if you buy this tub, but do think very carefully about other alternatives.

(More customer reviews)i looked around at reviews before putting this on my registry and i am so glad that i did. this is the easiest way i can think of to bathe a baby, so much better than bulky plastic tubs. you just use it in a low level of water in the family bathtub. the material is breathable and soft, but don't be fooled because it dries out easily and quickly too. it only takes about 15 minutes to go from saturated to completely dry. this product laughs in the face of mildew. i especially like the loop that makes it easy to hang up for drying or out-of-the-way storage. you don't have to sacrifice comfort for function.

if you are looking for possible negative aspects, the pillow floats a bit if you fill the tub very full. it isn't really a problem , but maybe worth mentioning if you fear your baby may float away to the other end of the bathtub. the metal rod on the back has come off, but it is really so simple to reposition that i wouldn't call that a "con" either. it hasn't ever come off when my baby was on it... just when i was prepping the bath area.

(More customer reviews)I absolutely LOVE this pack!I've had it for just over a month now, and it gets used every day.Sometimes multiple times during the day.Learning to use it can be a bit complicated, but it's not difficult once you get it down.My 3 month old hates being in his stroller or car seat, so I carry this pack with me everywhere.It's his main mode of transportation when he's not in the car.Originally I was given a Jeep front carrier, but that hurt my back and shoulders.I've had two back surgeries and deal with a lot of back pain already.This carrier has the hip belt, which is a must for me.It's much better on your back and shoulders.Plus, I like the fact there is nothing between me and him.He is securely held in waist belt, and then pressed up against me.Since my son always falls asleep in his carrier (front carry, facing in), it makes it easy to remove the pack after we get home.I can even just lay down on the sofa, unbuckle and slide out everything, and then he can nap right there with me!

He isn't quite big enough for the back carry yet, but I have practiced putting the carrier on that way.It is a little more complicated than some, again, but not hard to figure out.I love the fact that this can be used in so many ways- front facing in, front facing out, hip carry, and back carry.And since it holds a baby up to 40 pounds, there won't be any need for me to look into a new carrier over the years.It is well worth the money.

ERGO New Infant Insert Review

(More customer reviews)This is the second Ergo infant insert I've bought.I bought this one hoping it would work better than the old infant insert.It doesn't.Basically, if your newborn doesn't like the Ergo carrier, it's likely neither insert is going to help. You should test the Ergo with your newborn before spending the money.

My husband and I loved the idea of the Ergo carrier, as the hip belt helps alleviate back problems and is much like our packs for backpacking, so we registered for one.But however much we like the carrier, my eight-week-old, 10.5 pound daughter hates it. I've been trying to get her into the Ergo using first the old infant insert, and now the Heart 2 Heart, repeatedly ever since she was born, but with no success. The moment I put her (in the insert) into the Ergo carrier, she starts screaming and doesn't stop until I take her out. I've watched the video for the old insert (note: there's no video for the Heart 2 Heart) and am following their technique exactly, but still she just hates the carrier.

Neither insert provides enough head support for my daughter, which is why I think she screams. The Heart 2 Heart in particular doesn't work; when she's settled into it as per the instructions, the insert doesn't come up high enough to support her head, and she's not a particularly long child.So her head flops forward when she tries to look around, which frustrates her.

Both inserts feel like a bit of an afterthought -- I'm not convinced the Ergo carrier was designed with newborns in mind. Having the baby's feet out one side in the old insert seemed like a stopgap solution, and the Heart 2 Heart doesn't quite solve the issue, either.Interestingly, I picked up a used Baby Bjorn as a last resort after having spent all this money on the Ergo and the inserts, and she likes the Bjorn, because it's stiffer and provides more support.I think she won't like the Ergo until her head's a bit steadier; we'll go back to the Ergo then.

So it's worth knowing before buying this insert that it may or may not be money well spent -- it all just depends on whether your child likes it or not, and there's a possibility she won't (as I've now seen multiple reports on various sites saying that their newborns also don't like the Ergo; wish I'd done this research before getting the Ergo and spending the money on the inserts).It's worth waiting until after your baby is born and trying out the infant inserts before buying them.Otherwise, you may want to hold off on the Ergo until 4-5 months.

(More customer reviews)Buyer beware!I was totally happy when I first bought this product because it was more comfortable than others I tried.However, when the baby arrived and we started using it, I noticed that my baby's head came really close to the prongs that are designed to adjust the height of the shoulder harness.As my baby got older and started to be able to control neck and head, the same prongs actually scratched his head in a number of places - coming dangerously close to his eye.I returned the product and purchased a Baby Bjorn, which has a much better design on this part of the carrier but is not as good on lumbar support.

Flyebaby Fly Baby Airplane Seat Child Comfort System - As Seen in Catalogs Grey Design Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for a trip across the country with my 8-month old, and it has since proved extremely useful in all kinds of instances.

Airplane use:
My only real complaint about this product is that there is no maximum height given online, it simply indicated there is a line on the tag. So you have no way of knowing if your child is too tall until you actually order it and have the FlyeBaby and your baby in front of you. This isn't a big issue however, because there is only a height limit for use on a plane, not for its many other uses.
My daughter is in the 97th percentile for height at 30 inches tall, and her head came up a good 2.5 inches past the line. I would only really recommend this to lay a baby in on a plane for 6 months and under. However this was still useful on the plane for us. What I did was install it as described in the directions, then I sat cross-legged and sat my daughter upright on my lap facing me. Basically the FlyeBaby served as a little extra support and reassurance that my daughter wasn't going to fall backwards off my lap. It also gave her an even surface to sit on. I did not lay her back on it, as her head would have been pretty much touching the tray table, and that is a big safety issue. Last thing you need is a little bit of turbulence and baby hitting their head.

Use on a chair:
This product proved so extremely helpful on our trip. We didn't have any of my daughter's usual 'gadgets' with us (exersaucer, bumbo seat, walker, high chair etc etc), so this was invaluable to give us a place to secure her. It rolls up super small so I was able to toss it in the diaper bag and quickly install it on chairs at the hotel, in restaurants etc and give her both a place to eat and a place to play. The straps are extremely versatile and this can easily be installed on any chair I've found thus far. This product has replaced the need to bring any extra gear along when visiting friends' houses. We used to always bring her Bumbo or her swing, but now we can just bring this and she can sit right at the table with us.

Overall:
This product is extremely easy to install and remove. I'm talking 1 minute the first time you ever use it, and 10-20 seconds once you're accustomed to it. I am able to install it even with a squirmy baby on one hip. The harness that secures the baby is safe without being overly restricting, and adjusts to a wide range of sizes (perfect for my TALL baby). The material is durable and is not showing any signs of wear even with how much my baby moves around on it, pulls the straps etc. The price is a little over kill to me considering how simple a design it is, but there is nothing quite like this on the market so they could really charge a million bucks for it if they wanted to. And if you think about it, this can easily replace the need for a high chair altogether, so you could save money ultimately.

I highly recommend this product.

We especially love the freedom that this tub offers.The unique molding cradles the baby safely, while allowing both of your hands free to bathe.I had tried other tubs which were so much more difficult to manage.One arm was always tied up with supporting the baby- very tiring as she sqirmed vigorously.Also, I am amazed at the ingenious design.No matter how our daughter splashes, she stays firmly, safely reclined.The deeper section allows her the freedom to kick and truly enjoy the water.At first, I had teased my husband for picking out the largest and most expensive tub.He thought that it looked like a little baby spa.And I thought where are we going to store it?But this is only a minor drawback.The advantages far outweigh any difficulty of size.Actually, we will be able to use the tub longer since our daughter won't outgrow it for quite some time.We think that it makes a great, indepensible gift for any parent.A definite must for any Water Baby!

For infants (about 4 mos and up), it's pretty good for the most part.My complaint is this:my 7 mo old who is quite chunky keeps sliding down in it.Her [...] won't stay in the grooved part where they're supposed to keep it.She twists and turns and it gets slippery and she starts to slide down.Consequently, I have to keep one hand holding her crotch area to prevent her from slipping under the water.This doesn't make for easy washing w/ only one hand left to use.For that reason, I don't think it's the best.

EDITED:
I've owned this tub for 3 1/2 years.Used it with my first son and then with my daughter.It wasn't until about 4-5 mos after daughter's birth that I realized that I could sit my child straight up on the "toddler" side and then I don't have the slipping problem!Ugh.So much for my fancy college and graduate degrees!

(More customer reviews)First of all, I've never cared enough about a product to take time out of my busy schedule in order to write a review, so this should tell you how much I truly love this product.I absolutely love this tub! I went through three infant tubs - a whale and two meshy type things that went in the sink, and none of those worked for me.It hurt so bad to lean over the tub or in the floor to try to bathe my baby in the whale. In the meantime, it was hard to move him around, get him clean, and rinse him as well because I was having to strain.The whale tub was too tall to put on a counter or an island.When I tried the meshy type things in the sink, these didn't keep him warm at all and he hated them!You couldn't get him clean on those at all. Bath time wasn't fun because I was uncomfortable, he was chilly, and he couldn't play in the water.

I saw an ad on facebook for this tub and I was extremely skeptical because my sink wasn't truly round.It's sort of square at the top and rounded on the bottom.But man, was I pleasantly surprised.I just fold up one of the sides and it conforms well to the sink.My baby absolutely LOVES it!He laughs and plays now in the water. It's really so easy, you just literally throw it in the sink and you can stand up, without hurting your back, and bathe baby.Then, when bathtime is over, you just toss the water out of it, unfold it and hang it up to dry on a hook or lay it flat and wipe it once with a towel.It's seriously the best baby product I have and my husband and I enjoy giving our baby a bath every day!You must purchase this tub - you won't regret it! Especially if your back hurts like mine. This makes bath time so much fun for baby!It's soft, cradles his little body so well, and is so flexible!His first laugh was in the bath. :)

Ergo Baby Carrier Review

(More customer reviews)We have a Baby Bjorn (Original) as well as an Ergo baby carrier.I think both have their advantages and disadvantages, which I will try to explain below.

We purchased the Ergo carrier before our daughter was born based on the recommendation of a friend.However, we found that she could not sit in it comfortably at first.Before your baby can straddle your torso (until about 4 months/15 lbs), you have to put both legs on one side.I watched the instructional DVD several times and tried to place her into the carrier as comfortably as possible, but she did not like it at all.It didn't look comfortable either with her back twisted and body squished.This is when we decided to try the original Baby Bjorn carrier.

Our daughter loved being in the Bjorn (facing in or out).This carrier is easy to put on and take off and quite compact.However, it was not very comfortable for me (especially as she got heavier) since it put a lot of pressure on my back and shoulders.The fact that there is no waist belt and little padding on the shoulder straps probably contributes to this.The newer Baby Bjorn Active carrier with lumbar support may alleviate some of these problems.(I haven't tried this product though, so I'm not speaking from personal experience).We used the Bjorn until she turned 4 months (about 15 lbs).

I was so relieved when she could finally fit into the Ergo properly (with one leg on each side).It is so much easier on my back and shoulders.With the Bjorn, I could maybe last 15 minutes (at 15 lbs).With the Ergo, I can comfortably go for an hour or two (at almost 20 lbs now).I go grocery shopping and on longer walks this way.She seems very comfortable in it now.She's happy whenever I put her in it and will even go to sleep in it.(Sometimes, this is the only way I can get her to sleep).It looks a lot more comfortable than the Bjorn since she's sitting in it as opposed to being suspended from her crotch.I also don't have any trouble nursing discretely in the Ergo.

Around 6 months I also began carrying her on my back in the Ergo, which was even easier on my back.I have found this to be really convenient when doing things around the house such as vacuuming, doing laundry, cooking etc.It's also nice for outdoor activities like apple picking, strawberry picking, hiking etc.I find these activities somewhat more difficult when carrying a baby in front.While it is easy to put your baby in the front carrying position by yourself, it takes some practice to wear your baby on your back.At first, I needed somebody to help me get her situated on my back, but now I can easily do it by myself.Some may not like the fact that you cannot face your baby outward in the Ergo (and some babies may not like facing inward).This has not been a problem for us.While our daughter loved facing outward in the Bjorn, she did not object to facing inward in the Ergo.Rather than being pressed up against me, she's sitting in it, so she can still look at things to the sides.One more thing about the Ergo - I would recommend purchasing the sucking pads (ERGO Sucking Pads - Cream).Our daughter loves sucking on the straps and it's just much more convenient to wash the sucking pads rather than the whole carrier.

In summary, I think that both, the Bjorn as well as the Ergo, are good carriers, each with some drawbacks.The Bjorn is wonderful for a newborn up to about 12-15 lbs.Being able to have your baby facing in or out is a nice feature.Because of the strain on your back however, I would not recommend using this carrier with older/heavier babies.The Ergo is great for babies starting at around 15 lbs or when they are able to wrap their legs around you.It is much easier on your back and being able to carry your baby on your back can be convenient.For us, the Ergo was not very useful before our daughter turned 4 months as she was not comfortable with her legs on one side, but this probably depends on the baby.

I would rate the Bjorn 3 stars (because it's so hard on your back and we could only use it for a few months) and the Ergo 4 stars (because we couldn't use it with our newborn).My recommendation would be to get one of each if you can.We bought a gently used Bjorn for less than $10, and I have seen a lot of these on Ebay as well as Craigslist.Maybe you could even borrow one from a friend.It just seems like a lot of money to spend on something you aren't going to use for very long.However, I loved carrying my newborn around in it, so I wouldn't have wanted to do without it.
